Canyon Road House
Glass size: 11.75" x 17" Framed: 13.75" x 18.5"
Edition of 10 plus two Artist's Proofs $2000.00 ea. (U.S.)
Canyon Road House was located three miles from the top of Teton Pass near Coal Creek in 1917. It boasted of meals and lodging at “usual prices”. Horse drawn wagons and carriages were the primary means of transportation of the day, so a feed stable was a commonplace necessity.

This edition displays a variety of gold leaf. Accents of white gold, pale gold and lemon gold compliment the deep 23k gold outlines. Subtle shades of earthy greens are counterbalanced with deep arterial red which blends to maroon inside the panels. The deep black background adds to the richness of the flowing layout. The centers of the “R & H” are embellished with thin pieces of agote—a beautifully rich variation of abalone.

Canyon Road House is exactly the same size as the Auto Livery panel, and framed to match. They make a great side-by-side pair!
