In 1917, Maurice Williams placed an ad in the Jackson’s Hole Courier to promote his billiard hall. Pick from their assortment of cigars and tobaccos as you play a game of billiards or boxball. If that didn’t suit your tastes you could also choose from a generous supply of “Fancy Candy”.

This project involved a variety of techniques, most noticeably the glue-chipped background and silver mirroring. On closer inspection you will see subtle blending of the gold from 16.7K to 23K over the embossed damar centers.

While silver was used for the bright lines throughout, copper was used and repeated as accents to give the project a warm look. Deep wine and a softer mauve set off the slightly muted deep green background. The blended red ribbon was used to unite the elements and the deep red was repeated in the inner letter ornamentation.
