Collection of Panals & Ornaments

The original artwork in this collection can have a mid-20s look and feel if you approach the design in that mode. Quite a few shapes in the collection have a definite theatre marquee flavor, however this collection is also very flexible! As you scroll down the rest of this page, you will see what we mean. Just change the color scheme and adjust the letter styles to give the panel a completely new look.

JT Jenkins:
We live and work in Jackson Hole, WY, sometimes called "The Last and the Best of the Old West". We used these panels for 8 years on our dimensional and flat painted signs. Add some western letter styles and some texture to the background and "cowboy up".
Westside National Bank:
This pleasing design was built using two small ends, a corner, and one crest from the Broadway CD. The vertical stripes were created using the little ornament in the ends of the main panel. Notice how this design has a crisp, but vintage look and feel—perfect for lawyers, banks, antique stores, popcorn stands and so forth. This design could be easily adapted for a nice glue-chipped glass panel.

Broadway Flower Shop:
Don't you just love this little panel! We opened the original black and white design right off the CD, added three lines of text and then colorized it in Photoshop. The basket weave pattern was added using Eye Candy 4000. As you can see, the resulting designs from this CD don't have to look like theatre entrances. There is so much potential with this collection!
Billiards Parlor:
It doesn't take much to imagine this design as a dimensional sign. The panel for this sign was pre-built. We just added two lines of text and started working on the color and textures. The CD contains a lot of ends, corners, crests and "do it yourself" elements. While this panels was designed in a fairly narrow format for the CD booklet, it is easy to slice the ends and move them away from the center section to create a longer panel. On this panel, we would slice the left side of the panel just over the first "L" in Billiards.

Ace Deli:
This panel was modified from its original shape on the Broadway Tips & Techniques page. Download the sample image and check out the quality. The letter style used here is called Brewer's Bold, included on the CD.

Don't be afraid to try out new colors and combinations. As you can see here, colors can change the mood and flavor of any design.
