Collection of Panels and Ornaments
The Americana Collection of Panels and Ornaments CD is the end result of a year of research and digitizing! Many of the images were “inspired” by Turn-of-the-Century sign design books, ads, and catalogs.

By digitizing this collection, we recognize the wonderful work done by such early legends as C.J. Strong, Frank Atkinson, John Ohnimus, J.N. Halsted, and Al Imelli—just to name a few. We gleaned hundreds of books and collected the best of the group, then spent countless hours carefully hand digitizing the collection.
Now, the art and designs of the old masters can be enjoyed by sign makers and designers for another century!

| While some elements are fairly simple, many of the shapes are very complex. Designers should consider the complexity with knowledge of the equipment to be used for output. For example, some designs might not be suitable for router cut-outs at small sizes, and some designs will take hours to plot or cut on some slower plotters. We took great care to make certain the artwork is capable of being cut in vinyl, but again, some will be size dependent. Until the release of this CD, not many of the old designs were available anywhere. |
